The moonlight shimmered in the black sky, its silver glow falling softly on the streets, making the scene look like something straight out of a fairy tale. On the roadside stood Aishi, dressed in black jeans and a matching T-shirt, paired with a leather jacket.
He sat on his bike, admiring the night sky.
"Bas ek khwaab sajaya hai, Bhagwan ji... kaise kahoon mujhpe hi?"
("Just a dream you've weaved, dear God... how do I say it's for me?")
He whispered to the stars above.

Rishi's POV:
I stood there, my mind spinning with a thousand thoughts. The same question echoed over and over-"Will she say yes?"
Am I rushing things? No, no... I shouldn't think negatively.
Nothing negative, Rishi. Everything will be fine.
I know she's the one. The only one. All she has to do is say yes, and everything will fall into place. My life will finally be perfect-with her.
Just then, my phone buzzed. Himanshu bhai's name flashed on the screen. I picked it up.
"Haan bhai, bolo," I said.
"Vishu, ghar aa ja beta. Time dekh." ("Come home, son. Look at the time.")
I glanced at my watch.
Damn, it's already time for dinner.
I got on my bike and drove home.
---
After reaching home, I changed and joined everyone for dinner. The meal was warm, the conversation light. Post dinner, I stepped out for a walk in the lawn, pacing slowly beneath the cool night breeze. Just then, bhabhi walked over with a teasing smile.
"Tension mat le Rishu, 'haan' hi kahegi. I'm very sure," she said, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Bhabhi... how can this be a coincidence? How did my bio-data reach her house?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"Arrey, mera devar kisi ladki ke pyaar mein pad jaye, uski insta ID stalk kare, uska address nikalwaye... to main ek acchi bhabhi banke uska rishta bhi nahi bhej sakti?"
("If my brother-in-law falls in love, stalks her Instagram, finds her address... then as a good sister-in-law, can't I at least send his proposal?")
She raised an eyebrow playfully.
"Bhabhi!" I groaned.
"Arey wah! Ladka sharmaane laga ab!" ("Wow! The boy is blushing now!")
She said teasingly.
"Aisa kuch nahi hai!" I defended.
"Accha? Toh phir kuch aur hai? Jaise ki guards ko bolna ki us ladki ko follow karein?"
("Oh? Then what about asking the guards to follow her?")
"Aapko sab kuch kaise pata chalta hai?" I asked, both impressed and embarrassed.
"Isliye toh bhabhi hoon teri!"
("That's why I'm your sister-in-law!")
She said, flipping her hair like a diva.
"Bas bhai ko mat batana," I pleaded. If bhai found out, I'd never hear the end of it.
"Haan haan, nahi bataungi."
("Yes, yes, I won't tell him.")
"Ab tu bas usse ghar le aa, shaadi karke meri devrani bana!"
("Now just bring her home and make her my sister-in-law!")
She clapped her hands excitedly.
"Pehle haan to ho jaane do!" I laughed. "By the way, did you tell mom?"
"Mummy toh photo dekhte hi pighal gayi. Keh rahi thi, 'Ab toh bas yahi banegi meri bahu!'"
("Mom melted the moment she saw her picture. She said, 'Only she will be my daughter-in-law now!'")
"Sachhi?" I asked, grinning ear to ear.
"Haan sachhi!" she giggled.
Just then a voice called out, "Rishu, Shivu!"
We turned. It was bhai.
"Andar chalo, thand lag jayegi."
("Come inside, it's getting cold.")
"Jao apne patidev ke paas! Warna unka romance reh jayega," I teased her.
"Besharam!" she glared and walked inside. I followed, chuckling.
---
Back in my room, I grabbed my laptop, settled on the bed, and searched for her Instagram. I scrolled through her feed.
Yeh aadmi har photo mein aa jaata hai!
("This guy appears in all her photos!")
I muttered, gritting my teeth.
But then, I saw the Raksha Bandhan post. That same guy? Not her boyfriend. Just her brother. Phew!
One major tension solved.
I shut my laptop and hugged a pillow.
"Bhagwan ji, bas meri ek khwaish poori kar do..."
("Dear God, please fulfill just this one wish...")
I whispered as sleep quietly took over.

Next Morning-
The sun filtered softly through the windows of the mansion, casting a golden hue over everything. The aroma of a steaming hot breakfast filled the air.
Poornima, dressed in a soft cotton saree, was chasing after her little grandson.
"Arnav beta, jaldi aaja!" she called out.
"Dadi, mujhe pakad ke dikhao!"
("Catch me if you can, grandma!")
The little boy darted through the living room, giggling.
But soon, his tiny feet were lifted in the air as Akshay caught him.
"Haha! Pakad liya! Now the monster is going to eat this little bunny!" he said, tickling him. The child's laughter echoed across the hall.
"Chachu bas!" he squealed.
Akshay chuckled, "Then don't trouble your dadi," and the boy gave him a thumbs-up. "Now, let's go eat breakfast."
Everyone gathered at the dining table-except for Rishi.
"Nawabzada kahaan hai?" asked Manish.
"Aa raha hai, papa. Uski files nahi mil rahi thi," said Shivani, and everyone nodded in understanding.
Moments later, Rishi entered the dining room, dressed in a black blazer, white shirt, and sleek watch on his wrist-looking elegant and effortlessly charming.
"Aa gaye Shehzade!" said Akshay, spotting him first.
"Chup kar," Rishi said, smacking his head lightly before sitting down.
Breakfast began, and midway, Poornima cleared her throat.
"Rishi beta, tujhe file bheji thi, tune dekhi?"
"Haan ma, dekh li." He replied calmly.
Everyone turned to him in surprise. For the first time, he wasn't dodging a conversation about marriage.
"Bhabhi mil gayi!" Ananya squealed in excitement.
"Chup karo! Uski 'haan' ya 'naa' toh sunne do," said Manish.
"Arrey papa, bande ki shakal toh dekho! Itni pyari si muskaan lekar ghoom raha hai. Main keh raha hoon, bahu mil gayi humari!" said Himanshu, teasing Rishi.
"Toh Rishi bhai, bhabhi ko dekhne kab ja rahe ho? Kya chahiye? Car? Main chalaata hoon!" said Ananya, ever the enthusiastic one.
"Ruk ja, ruk ja sab. Pehle main mil loon usse!" Rishi said, brushing them off playfully.
"Kab mil rahe ho?" asked Shivani.
He casually shrugged.
"Tune message kiya?" Himanshu asked.
"Haan, raat ko karib 2 baje."
"Abe! 2 baje toh gayi hogi woh! Dekhna, tujhe message karegi subah. Wait
kar!" Himanshu grinned.
